About Steve Hart
and

As a motivational magician:
I began to study success motivation in 1986
for my own personal success. It was during this time that I
considered the idea of working a motivational message into my magic.
I gave my first motivational magic program in 1989 for local Chamber of
Commerce.
By 1993 I was asked to be a featured speaker for two regional conventions
Dallas/Indianapolis, for the VSDA, Video Software Dealers Association.
In 1994 I was introduced to the National Speakers Association and showcased two
years later.
Since then I have given over 250 motivational programs for major corporations,
conventions, and sales meetings.
As a Professional Magician:
I began my
professional career as a magician in 1982 as a young husband with three young
daughters. In the 80’s I worked as the resident magician for the Indianapolis
Union Train Station, a festival marketplace. There I did 25 shows a week
for almost three years.
I was a part of the original staff of magicians for Illusions, a magical
dining club in Carmel, IN. There I worked table magic and on stage in the
showroom for nearly 14 years, gaining a wealth of experience.
In 1990 I had my own successful family TV show for one year. I played myself and
another character “The Great WaZoom” a magic genie. It was during this time
that I began to do product promotion with my magic.
Over the years I worked my magic & comedy for corporations, trade shows,
conventions, comedy clubs, and cruise ships.
I was the owner of five magic shops. This was a great learning experience
for me being a boss of several employees and running a retail business.
As a Ambassador of Magic:
I have
performed in over 30 magic conventions. In 2001 I was awarded the “Comedy
Excellence” award at the International Battle of Magicians in Canton, OH.
I have developed and marketed eight magic lectures, with a total over 45
presentations. Included is a lecture on Creativity for Magicians
and another, Position
Marketing for Magicians.
I have ten magic effects on the market with six more new effects in the making.
My most famous effect is called “Whiz Kote” the burnt shoe routine, made by
Chalet Magic.
I have served as an officer with the local magic clubs for a combined 18 years.
I was the I.B.M’s TVP, Territory Vice President for the state of Indiana
for 10 years and North Florida for three years.
I have officiated as a judge for four International I.B.M. Convention Stage
Competitions.
I served three years on the
Executive Board for the International Brotherhood of Magicians, I.B.M.
and as the chair for their Membership committee.

Here is what others say about Steve Hart:
“We at the
Abbott Magic Company would like to confirm the talents of Steve Hart as a
performer, lecturer, and a friend. He has always been dependable as a
performer, original as a lecturer and steadfast as a friend.”
Greg Bordner, Pres. Abbott Magic Company
“Steve’s lecture is particularly interesting by the way he relates each
effect and puts it one step further. Creative thinking over the years is what
has kept the classics of magic alive today. Steve’s encouragement to make us
think a little more certainly enhances our performances and our careers.”
Mike Stratman, Past International President, I.B.M.
“Steve Hart has a heart as big as he is! He inspired me years ago and left me
with a mission to help others as he had done with me.”
Stephen Bargatze, professional magician/ speaker.
“I am very proud to be friends with Steve Hart and Daina Gold. They are so
giving. Their willingness to share the secrets of their success in the
motivational speaking business is only the latest example of their generosity to
others. Anything they do will be top quality because they are top quality
people.”
Phil Willmarth, Editor, The Linking Ring
“Steve Hart and Daina Gold can inspire a dill pickle. Their
down-to-earth dynamic presentation, with an inviting and welcoming approach,
sets them apart.” Jep Hostetler, Ph.D. Past International President,
I.B.M.
“While in my attempts to make magic a profession, Steve inspired and motivated
me to ‘go for my dreams’. Now I’m happy, enjoy being my own boss,
and excited about the future. ‘You can’t do that’, This is a phrase not in
Steve’s vocabulary. He has taught me something long ago….find what you want
to do in life then do it. It sounds simple, but Steve showed me by example to
integrate all areas of your life into your profession. From marketing, to
advertising, to networking…..if you are self-employed, YOU are the product.”
Allen Head, professional magician
